One of the important aspects of our mission at V.J. and Angela Skutt Catholic High School is to build a community of caring and justice among our school family which reaches out and responds to the needs of others. The Living the Gospel program at Skutt Catholic encourages and guides students to live out the message of Jesus Christ. Students are required to complete a certain amount of service hours each year, and many of our students go above and beyond in their dedication and commitment to service.
UPDATED GUIDELINES FOR 2016-2017
Skutt Catholic High School utilizes an online service documentation program, x2VOL.com. We are very excited about the opportunities that come with this new program! Informational links and videos are also available on ebackpack.
Freshman and Transfer Students will receive their login information and directions on how to use x2VOL.com in August once school begins. For all service done over the Summer, Freshman and Transfer Students are encouraged to obtain a site supervisor’s signature verifying their service hours. They will then enter the service in x2VOL.com in August.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT DAY
Our annual Community Involvement Day is a wonderful "Hawktober" tradition. Instead of having regular classes, the entire student body leaves the school to visit various agencies and schools that serve the elderly, children, those experiencing poverty, the disabled and sick within the Omaha and surrounding communities. This day provides students and faculty the opportunity to learn about the people and agencies that serve the needs of our community, and then provide service themselves. This year, our students will spend time with almost 50 sites in the Omaha and surrounding areas.
“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me … Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:35-40
