  • Congratulations to the following seniors on winning Skutt Catholic's top awards at Baccalaureate ceremonies:

    Jesse Griese Award: Kelsey Sievers
    Male Athlete of the Year: Zach Cottle
    Female Athlete of the Year: Stacy Bartels
    Living the Gospel Award: Amanda Gum & Philip O'Halloran

  • Congratulations to Erin Borchers who was named to the Academic All-State Team at a brunch sponsored by the Omaha World Herald.  Erin was one of 9 students in the state to receive this honor.

  • Congratulations on another great activity year. I have included the results of the NSAA Cellular Cup. This award includes all activities sponsored by the NSAA. We finished 1st in combined and the boys division and a close 2nd in the girls division. Congratulations SkyHawks!   • Wrestling Coach Brad Hildebrandt has been named the 2009 Coach of the Year by Wrestling USA Magazine.  This prestigious national award has been presented to the nation's best in the sport since 1973.  In his fifteen years as head coach, Brad has led his team to twelve straight Class B State Championships, as well as, forty nine individual champions.  Congratulations Coach!

  • Congratulations go out to Skutt Catholic students Erin Borchers (Gr. 12) and Anna Heffron (Gr. 11) who both scored a perfect 36 on the ACT!  Last year, less than 3/100 of 1% of high school test takers scored a perfect 36.

  • Skutt Catholic High School standout named Gatorade Nebraska Boys Soccer Player of the year!
    In its third decade of honoring the nation's best high school athletes, the Gatorade company, in partnership with ESPN RISE, today announced Michael Burke of Skutt Catholic High School as its 2008-09 Gatorade Nebraska Boys Soccer Player of the year. Burke is the first Gatorade Nebraska Boys Soccer Player of the Year to be chosen from Skutt Catholic High School.
     
  • Two Selected for 2009 Shrine Bowl. Congratulations to senior, Matt Kathol and Coach Matt Turman, for being selected for the 51st annual Nebraska Shrine Bowl football game played at Memorial Stadium on Saturday July 25, 2009.   Both player and coach will be a part of the South team as they take on the North squad in the 6:30PM game.  Matt Kathol, the son of Jane and Stan Kathol, plans to attend UNO in the fall.  Coach Turman is in his 6th year as head coach at Skutt Catholic.   • Congratulations to the Dance Team in earning the State Championship in Jazz Division and runner up in Pom for 2009. 

  • SKYHAWKS MAKE HISTORY!! Congratulations to the Skyhawk Wrestling Team on the 12th consecutive state title. Brad Hildebrandt became the Nebraska coach with the most consecutive state title wins. Awesome job wrestlers!

  • Skutt Catholic is the first school in River Cities Conference history to win 4 consecutive RCC Speech Championships.

  • William Choate became the first Skutt Catholic student ever to earn 1000 points or more from the National Forensic League. Willam has accomplished this lofty feat as a 4 year member of the SkyHawk Forensics Team. By earning 1000 points, William has now been given the Degree of Outstanding Distinction (the second highest degree possible for a student.)

  • Skutt Catholic Seniors Joe Benak and Erin Borchers have been named National Merit Finalists! Skutt Catholic has had 17 students recognized by the National Merit Program in the past three years with six students this current year. Joe and Erin recently advanced to "finalist standing." Less than 1% of our nation's high school students earn this distinction.
