Welcome to Angel Flight 2010

A dinner & auction to benefit the students of Skutt Catholic High School

Saturday September 18

In just a short 17 years, we have become a leader of Catholic education in the Mid-West.  Although you will find on the school's web site (www.skuttcatholic.com) that our programmatic offerings are exceptional, it’s the people of Skutt Catholic that make our community so strong.  Omaha is blessed with many wonderful educational opportunities, yet families continue to choose Skutt Catholic in great numbers because of the character of the people that make up Skutt Catholic.  We are more than just a school.  There is more to this education than perfecting grammar rules and applying the quadratic formula.  There is an understanding that “family” is of the utmost importance, and we need to do everything we can to support our staff, students, parents, alumni, and friends.  This belief trickles into our collective philosophy of teaching, as our faculty and staff care for all students as individuals, and they want to do everything they can to ensure that the Skutt Catholic experience is a warm and welcoming one for every person that walks through our halls.

We offer more academic courses than any other non-public school in the state.  We offer nearly 50 different extracurricular activities.  Yet, we are small enough to know every student!  On behalf of the faculty, staff, and Board of Directors, welcome to Skutt Catholic!

Skutt Catholic is Jazzed Up for Green this year -- SkyHawk Green that is! The high school will host its annual fundraiser, Angel Flight, on Saturday, September 18. Chairing this year's event are Mike & Beth Boler, Anne & Matt Jetter, and Shayla & Chris O'Brien, with Mike & Sue Dobel and Mike & Peg Odorisio serving as Honorary Chairs.. The evening begins with cocktails and a silent auction at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and a live auction. Angel Flight attracts nearly 500 Skutt Catholic parents, alums, and community friends. Monies raised help to defray the school's general operating expenses.

Featured, for the second time in school history, will be the presentation of the Outstanding Alumni Award. This year's honoree will be an alum that has shown incredible commitment, dedication, and enthusiasm for Skutt Catholic -- someone who has truly been Jazzed Up for Green!
