National Art Honor Society

The National Art Honor Society is a National organization for high school students, for the purpose of inspiring and recognizing those students who have shown an outstanding ability in art and a willingness to share those abilities with their school community and beyond. Students must be in Art II or above and carry a B average in their Art classes.

There are many opportunities to create art in various media and plan activities whether creating murals at school, or creatively helping out in the community. Students get to use their God given artistic talents for the betterment of the Skutt Catholic Community or the community beyond.

In the past students have created murals around the school, helped out with Angel Flight, worked on props for the musicals, painted portraits of orphans from around the world, gone on special art gallery tours, had Art Fun Nights in the art room and created fused jewelry to sell as a fund raiser. Each year NAHS holds an Induction Ceremony that includes an alumni speaker who is pursuing Art in some career. The society also donates funds each year to a charity that has a connection to the students.

We welcome all students who fit the criteria and have a passion for Art and creative ideas to help the National Art Honor Society Make a Difference.
